LEAF Scholar Spotlight: Berenice Hernandez Hurtado

Berenice Hernandez Hurtado recently graduated from Latino College Prep Academy in 2023 and is now a first-year Scholar at Evergreen Valley College, majoring in Business Administration with plans to transfer in two years. As a full-time student, she dedicates her free time to studying and utilizing resources to excel academically.

A significant achievement for Berenice was achieving a 4.0 GPA during her first semester as a freshman at Evergreen Valley College. This was accomplished by completing assignments on time and seeking guidance from old high school friends in her classes.

Born in French Camp, CA, and raised in Eastside San José, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, listening to music, and exploring nature. An interesting fact about Berenice is that she has had the opportunity to meet the popular Mexican group, Eslabon Armado.
