As Career Exploration & Discovery Program Manager at LEAF, Jacqueline Ramírez is dedicated to supporting first-generation students and families in East San José. Raised in the same community, Jackie draws from her experiences as a first-generation, low-income Mexicana to help others navigate the higher education system. She actively works to dismantle harmful narratives about East San José and advocates for asset-based, equitable education. A proud daughter of immigrants from Guanajuato, Jackie holds degrees in Ethnic Studies and Spanish Studies from Santa Clara University, with minors in Latin American Studies and Urban Education. Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to transforming lives through education.
