Naomi Hernandez, a rising junior at Santa Clara University, is double majoring in Psychology and Philosophy. As a Program Intern at the LEAF Center for College Success, Naomi plays a vital role in supporting first-generation, low-income, and Latinx students during their transition to college. She creates scholar newsletters, designs workshop slides, manages social media, and tracks incoming scholars. Naomi also contributes to the Culture Impacts Emotion Research Lab, reflecting her passion for the intersection of culture and psychology. Beyond her internship, she has spoken at LEAF town hall events and participated in the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley’s PALA program, which equips Latinas with advocacy skills. Additionally, Naomi supports social justice through the Youth for Justice Project Art-Advocacy Afterschool Program.
