“When I first heard about LEAF, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I identified with their mission of bridging the education gap for underrepresented communities. I was also a part of the community LEAF serves a few years ago and saw this as an opportunity to give back. As a mentor, I hope to make a difference for my mentees as I assist them through their college journeys.”

“From mentoring a cohort of 5 students at LEAF to now managing relationships between 50 scholars and 50 mentors at PCF as a program coordinator, my journey has been driven by a deep-seated commitment to giving back and supporting others through the first-gen college experience. Inspired by my journey, I strive to reach students like myself who may not have had access to mentorship opportunities. My goal is to show them that programs like LEAF and PCF exist, alongside a community of believers who are invested in their success. Working with first-generation college students will always be part of my journey. It all started here when I became a mentor at LEAF, that opportunity brought me to a full-time role at PCF, and I foresee it continuing as a donor and board member in the future.”
